Show WIIITEROCKS Madeena Smith Funeral Held The funeral for Mrs. John Wopsock was held Sunday afternoon af-ternoon at the Episcopal church with Dr. H. W. Marrs, of Vernal, Ver-nal, in charge. Mrs. Wopsock died of a lingering illness. A special shov and food sale was given on Monday evening in the ward house, the proceeds going to the Polio and Cancer fund. Mrs. Rust, the school nurse, spent all day Friday at school, examining the children. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brough and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Brough visited on Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Brough. Mrs. Zella Pike and son, Clifford, Clif-ford, of Roosevelt, visited in town on Thursday. Mrs. Pike also helped with the decoration of the church house for the Gold and Green Ball, to be held on Saturday. . Miss Loye Brough was an overnight ov-ernight visitor with her grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Brough. LeRoy Smith and family, of Lehi, were visitors in town for a short time on Saturday. Work started this week on remodeling the gym at White-rocks. White-rocks. BENEFIT DANCE A Benefit Dance was held at the gym on Friday night for the family of Andrew Cuch, who' had the misfortune of having hav-ing their home burn, on Monday, Mon-day, while they were away. Speakers at meeting, Sunday were, Vaughn Simper and Seth As ay. According to researchers, cotton rugs have been around a long time.
