Show Stella Underwood Youngsters Have Birthday Parties A lawn party at the Bud Mar-key Mar-key residence was given for 18 children to celebrate Jimmy Markey's 8th birthday anniversary. anniver-sary. Present were Patsy Harrison, Harri-son, of Roosevelt, Sharon and Kathlene Eskelson, Joe and Carolyn Car-olyn Allred, Lloyd and Karren Clark, Jennie Brandt, Charlotte Clark, Sandra, Linda and Dennis Den-nis Gig'gey, Gordon Crapo, Don Eskelson, Michael Markey, and John and Jeff Mecharn. The party ended with a peanut pea-nut hunt and story books given to each child. On Saturday, a birthday party par-ty was given at the Pappas home to celebrate Geocge Pappas' Pap-pas' 10th' birthday. Present were Gwen and Afton Bodily, Michael, Mich-ael, Jimmy and Mrs. Freda Mar-key, Mar-key, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sem-ken, Sem-ken, George Blak.is, Jim Mav-kis, Mav-kis, Nick Votis, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Athanas and children, of Salt Lake, Nichol, John and Elaine Pappas, Games were played and ica cream and cake were served. Mrs. Helen W. Macfarland, of Salt Lake City, is visiting friends in Gusher. She is staying with Mr. and Mrs. Guy Underwood. Ernie Domg'aard is binding ba.rley for Albert Semkens this week, Lawrence Young, of Orem, a I former Gusher resident, was in town Thursday of last week with a load of pears. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Ross, of Vernal, were guests Thursday at the home of their son, Carl Ross. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Giggey are dirving a. new Buick car- George Arnold was called to Salt Lake last Tuesday on account ac-count of the illnees of his son, Joe. Mr. Arnold's son-in-law, Clinton Dahlberg came to get him. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Semken were dinner euests Monday eve ning at the Guy Underwood home. Mrs. Robina Ferguson went to Salt Lake Tuesday. F. O. Lundberg, of Tooele, has been visiting friends in Gusher during the past week. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Mahoney and daughter and her two sons, from Washington, D. C. were callers in Gusher on Thursday. Sunday dinner guests at the Guy Underwood home were Mr. jand Mrs. Hyrum Domgaard and son, Ernie, and Mrs. H. W. Macfarland. Mac-farland. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Farns-worth Farns-worth and children have moved to Price, where Mr. Farnswortn has employment. Mrs. Helen Connaughton and her brother, Lewis Farr, of Stockton. California, are visiting visit-ing friends in Gusher and La-point. La-point. They are former Gusher residents. They are guests at the Albert Semken home. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Duvall and family, of Pleasant Grove, were week end guests at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Duvall. Visiting at the Robina Ferguson Fergu-son home Sunday were her three sons and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Ferguson, of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Leon-ard Ferguson, and baby, of Heber, He-ber, and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Ferguson and baby, of Gusher. Roland Nebeker and Bert Am-icone, Am-icone, of Salt Lake, were Sunday Sun-day visitors at the Albert Semken Sem-ken home. Week end guests at the Glenn Allred home were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Phillips, of Salt Lake City. Visiting at the Bud Markey home during the past week were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Beatty, of San Diego, California; Mr. and Mrs. Ned Zabriskie, Ardel and Velva Galloway, all of Pasadena, Pasa-dena, California; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Coddy and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Phillips, Salt Lake City. Michael and Jimmie Markey spent part of last week in Vernal Ver-nal with their grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Markey. |
