Show Lions Pian 100 Meeting; Ready Street Markers The week of September 9 has been designated by the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Lions club as "100 Attendance At-tendance Week," at which time an attempt will be made to have all members attend their regular club meeting, which is scheduled sched-uled for Thursday t Sept. 13, is an announcement made by Howard How-ard Ivory, president. At the last meeting of the club, the membership heard a report on the "Street Marker" project, which revealed that the last load of posts had arrived and would be treatejl and painted paint-ed in the near future, and then set in the ground at the various intersections throughout the city. Lawrell Jensen and John Blaine, principals of the Junior High and Elementary schools, respectively, reported on the registration reg-istration and class schedules that would be put into operation opera-tion during the first week of school. Mr. Blaine reported that the teacher load at the Elementary Ele-mentary school would be an average av-erage of 35 students per teacher, and that they did not have a regularly appointed music teacher, teach-er, but that each teacher would teach music in their respective rooms. Eldon Winterton, of Roosevelt, and Ludeen Anderson, of Myton, sang two duets, accompanied by Janice Anderton. Mr. Ivory conducted the meeting. |
