Show This Week's RECIPE . . . With canning season in full swing, every house wife is eager eag-er to try new recipes for pickles, pick-les, marmalades and jellies. This week a recipe for a very delicious de-licious pear marmalade has been submitted by Mr George Hacking. Hack-ing. Pear Marmalade 3 oranges and rind 1 large can crushed pineapple 9 ripe Bartlett pears 1 medium -size jar marachino cherries. Peal pears and cube. Grind the oranges and rind coarsely in food chopper. Combine pears and oranges and measure 1 cun to 1 cup of sugar. Add pineapple and cook until thick enoufc'n to bottle. When nearly done, add quartered quar-tered marachino cherries and pour into sterilized pint bottles and seal. |
