Show EUjenBraicJcen Ballard Relief Society held its annual bazaar Nov. 28 in the Relief Society room. Articles were donated by the members, and most of them were sold. The ladies sold dinner at noon, the project being well patronized. patron-ized. LeRoy Anderson was one of the referees at the Green River-Alterra River-Alterra basketball game played Friday at the Alterra gym. The Alterra team won. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Simper and family were guests at the home of Mrs. Simper's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Davis Morrill, of Tridell, on Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Elmer have moved to Ogden to make their home while Mr. Elmer is employed at Clearfield. Blaine and Betty will stay with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Prescott, at Hayden, during the balance of the school term to continue their studies at Alterra high. The rest of the family will enter school at Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cook and children made a trip to Salt Lake on business last week. Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Sursher and family, who have been making their home in Roosevelt for some time, have moved into their new home recently finished fin-ished at Alterra. Mr. Sursher, who is employed at the Ute Tribal oil well, built his home on the E. C. Coston farm. The parents of high school students from Ballard were well represented at Parents' Day at Alterra high on Nov. 29. They toured the Union high school during the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Kettle, Mr- and Mrs. Marvin Kettle and their three sons, and Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle and family were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kettle, near the Duchesne river on Thanksgiving. Thanks-giving. Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Warner, of Tooele, recent members of the Ballard ward, are the parents par-ents of a baby girl. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Winn and family have moved to Carbon county, where Mr. Winn has employment for the winter. Fireside for the Mia-Maids and Explorers was held Sunday Sun-day evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hullinger. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brisbin and family have moved into the Raymond Elmer home. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Todd attended at-tended the missionary farewell for Barth Stone at Ioka, Saturday Satur-day evening, Dec. 2. The M.I.A. held a talent show Monday, Nov. 27. A good crowd was kin attendance, and many talented persons appeared on the program. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon- White and family have moved on'o the church farm near Roosevelt, where Mr. White wiil act as superviser. A cottage meeting was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Kettle Thursday evening, November No-vember SO. It was attended by 21 ward members and neighbors. neigh-bors. Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle and family have moved into the home the Eldon White family just vacated. Mr. White and Mr. Kettle have exchanged farms.
