Show $1,342,950 Paid On Loans By Farmers' According to Anthon B. Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, county supervisor, a recent re-cent survey of Farmers' Home Administration loan activities in Duchesne county revealed that $1,342,950.05, which includes principal and interest, has been repaid on loans during the past five years. During the last five year period, per-iod, a total of 153 loans, amounting amount-ing to $444,415 have been made. Analyzing- this amount the following fol-lowing breakdown was observed: ob-served: 124 of the loans were for livestock and machinery for a total of $216,695; 20 farm ownership own-ership loans received a total of $209,475; seven water facility loans received $5745, and the two farm housing loans were in the amount of $12,500. During 1949-50 the county farm supervisor planned with farm families and wrote loans in the amount of $77,100. Also during that period $89,179.14 was repaid on outstanding loans. A total of $477,983.83 is the total to-tal amount of money out on loans in Duchesne county at the present time. Since July, 1950, ei;;ht machinery ma-chinery and livestock loans in the amount of $20,870; two farm housing loans amounting to $12,-500, $12,-500, and four farm ownership loans totaling $37,350 have been made. According to Mr. Christensen, the Farmers' Home Administration Administra-tion can make loans to eligible farmers for livestock and machinery ma-chinery loans at 5 per cent interest in-terest and up to five years to repay. Farm ownership loans are available at 4 per cent interest in-terest with a repayment time of 40 years. Farm housing- loans are made at 4 per cent interest with the term of the loan to I be determined by the ability to repay. Three per cent interest rate is charged on water facility facil-ity loans. |
