Show LAPOIHT Mm. Mable Jenkins Shower Honors Mrs. B. Jensen A bridal shower was given honoring Mrs. Berlin Jensen in the Lapoint chapel on June 4. The bride received many lovely and useful gifts. The program, under the dirertion of Mrs. June Woolley, consisted of a solo, by Mary Lou Huber; a ballet dance, by Ilene Neumeyer; and a piano solo, by Helen Bigelow; Joyce Long gave a reading, a vocal duet, by Dorothy Luck and Dawn Huber; a reading, by Kathryn Walker; a vocal duel, by Melba Morrill and Vella Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, and a trumpet solo, by Margaret Huber. Mrs. Lenore - Hutchings, of Roosevelt, had charge of the games. Dainty refreshments were served to 65 guests. Mrs. Jensen is the former Shirley Mae Huber, of Lapoint. . Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Harrison Har-rison and family, of Bingham Canyon, visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins. Wayne and Trent will visit their aunt and uncle for 10 days while their parents spend their vacation in Las Vegas, Nevada with a sister, Mr. and Mrs. William Sorensen and family. Mrs. Mae Sprtfuse spent last weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Clive Sprouse and family, of Bridgeland. Mrs. Marion Gray and daughter, daugh-ter, of Tontana, Calif., and Jim Vernon, of Vernal, spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Art Taylor and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Horrocks Hor-rocks and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sr., Wayne and Trent Harrison of Bingham Canyon, Can-yon, spent Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Workman and family, of Myton. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hartle and son, Max, went to Salt Lake City, Thursday morning, where Max received medical attention. Mrs. Dona Elmer came home last Friday from Salt Lake City, where - she has been visiting with her husband at the Veterans' Veter-ans' Hospital. Mrs. Fern Anderson returned home from Salt Lake City after visiting a week with her daughter, daugh-ter, Phyllis, and Lela Miller. Sole Hadlock, of Visulia, Caf-ifornia, Caf-ifornia, is a guest of Lawrence Caldwell and family. Mr. and Mrs. Luck went to Salt Lake City, Monday, where Mr. Luck received medical aid. Lapoint M.I.A. was guest of the Tridall Mutual, Tuesday evening eve-ning at their chapel. They put on a three-act play. A large crowd attended. |
