Show Famed Magician Schedules Second Roosevelt Stop Wilford, often considered the world's most spectacular magician, magi-cian, who has appeared in 37 states and two-foreign tours in 21 years of traveling, will present pre-sent a baffling display of magic. March 2 at 8 p. m., at the Roosevelt Roose-velt stake house,' in the interest of the Second Ward's welfare project. Short preliminary performances perfor-mances will be presented at the Myton school at 10:30 a. m. Roosevelt elementary, at 11:30; Ballard, 1 p. m.; Alterra, 2; and RHS, 3 p. m. These performanc-ber performanc-ber of the. bishopric of the second sec-ond ward. Bishop E. J. Nixon, of the Second Sec-ond ward, who is handling details de-tails for the show, said that when Wilford was here in the fall of 1948, over 700 people turned out to see him perform. After a performance at South high school, in Salt Lake City, where Wilford played to over five thousand people, the largest larg-est crowd to attend a magic show in the Salt Lake area in years, the Salt Lake Tribune said: "Acts of magic that would astound Houdini himself, Thursday Thurs-day night thrilled thousands in South high auditorium, as the internationally in-ternationally famed Wilford magician ma-gician show presented its second Salt Lake City performance. Featuring escape acts, mind reading, and other amazing variations var-iations of mystic, the show is 'one of the best in the world'." |
