Eardley, professor pro-fessor of geology at the University Univer-sity of Utah, will be principal speaker at a meeting of University Univer-sity alumni of the Roosevelt area, Feb. 25, Dr. O. Meredith Wilson, chairman of the Centenary Centen-ary committee, announced today. to-day. Held in connection with observance ob-servance of the University Cen-, Cen-, tennial, the meeting is scheduled for the Frontier Grill at 8 p. m. Dr. Eardley, born in Salt Lake City, was educated at the University of Utah, Stanford, and Princeton universities. A former Princeton faculty mem- ber, he came to Utah after serving serv-ing as professor of geology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Eardley has served as junior geologist for the U. S. Geological Survey and as consultant con-sultant geologist for Sinclair Oil Co. and for Cities Service Oil Co. His research findings from these activities have been published widely in professional and educational journals. ' Dr. Eardley is past president of the Science Research club at the University of Michigan and past chairman of the Geology and Mineralogy section of Michigan Mi-chigan Academy. |
