Show f1t, Emmons Deane Case Attending the Lincoln Day dinner in Duchesne Monday evening, eve-ning, Feb. 13, were Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hartman, Mr. and Mrs. Floid Hartman, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Reay, and Mr. and Mrs. Lyrad McConkie. A formal banquet with a Valentine Val-entine theme was the means taken tak-en by the M-Men and Gleaners of the Moon Lake Stake to celebrate cel-ebrate the holiday. Staged at Altamont high, four tables were beautifully decorated with red hearts and tulips and red and white candles. Grace was said by Leon Burton. The program was announced by Toastmaster Claude McDonald, with Beth Winkler, Deane Case, Donna Miles. Bill Pearson. Lorna Cook, Jean Mecham, Betty Holder, Kathleen Pearson, F. Robert Poulson and the girls' quartette participating. Afton Smithson accompanied the musical numbers. num-bers. A dance followed the program. pro-gram. Deane Case, Stake Gleaner leader was in charge of the affair. af-fair. The banquet was prepared and served by the school lunch cooks and Mrs. Evangeline Sacks, of the home economics department, as part of a money raising project to buy kitchen equipment for the school. Mrs. Hershel lorg substituted for Mrs. Hardy Perkins last week at the Altonah school during dur-ing the time Mrs. Perkins was ill. Farmers of Mt. Emmons and nearby towns attended a weed control meeting Wednesday afternoon af-ternoon at the LDS church conducted con-ducted by County Agent Jensen. Jen-sen. The Moon Lake Stake Special Interest group of the MIA held an old-time dance Thursday evening eve-ning at the Mt. Emmons ward hall. This form of entertainment, popular in this area for many years, has been neglected recently re-cently because of the absence of Mr. and Mrs, LeRoy Thack-er, Thack-er, famous for their old-time music. mu-sic. At the Thursday night affair, af-fair, Mr. and Mis. Thacker were assisted by their daughters, and Mrs. Patty Richards and Mrs. Lorna Merckley, accordianists. Earl Case did the calling for the square dances. The party was under the direction of Mrs. Edgar Miles, Special Interest group leader. Mr. and Mrs. Iies'lie Boswell and small son, of Orem, visited last week with Leslie's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Volney Boswell. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Case have announced the marriage of their daughter, Mrs. Stella Webb, to William DeVries, of Og'den. The rites were performed Feb. 14 in Ogden, in the presence of a few friends and relatives. Mr. DeVries De-Vries is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel DeVries. Stella has been employed with an advertising firm in Ogden for the past two years. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Ames and son, Brent, of Pocatello, Idaho, were weekend guests of Mrs. Ames' mother, Mrs. Mary C.
