Show Notice of Gas And Oil Mining Lease Sale UNDER SEALED BID, 2:00 P. M.. AUGUST 9. 1951 Sealed bids will be received at the Uintah and Ouray Agency, Ag-ency, Fort Duchesne, Utah, until 2:00 P. M., August 9. 1951 for Oil and Gas Leases on the following described units of tribally owned Indian lands, located on the Uintah and Ouray Reservation, Reserva-tion, Duchesne and Wasatch Counties, State of Utah, all of which lands hereafter described, lie within the Uintah Special Base and Meridian Survey, to wit: Township 5 South. The successful and responsible bidder for any lease will be required to pay in advance, ad-vance, an annual rental of $1.25 per acre, the cost of advertising, and a filing fee of $5.00 for each lease contract consummated. consummat-ed. A deposit of 20 per cent of the bonus bid and 20 per cent of the advance rental for the first year must accompany the bid and be in the form of a certified cer-tified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank, payable to the Treasurer of the United States. No individual, corporation, partnership, company or association asso-ciation shall hold under lease for oil andor gas mining purposes, pur-poses, Indian tribal lands and restricted allotted Indian lands on any one Indian Reservation, in excess of 25,000 acres. Acreage Acre-age leased by an officer or director direc-tor of a corporation, company, or association, or by a stockholder stock-holder holding 40 per cent or more of the stock of the corporation, corpor-ation, company, or association shall be charged against the corporation, cor-poration, company or association associa-tion and vise versa. The acreage acre-age leased by a member of a partnership shall be charged against the partnership and vice versa. The acreage of corporations, corpor-ations, companies, or associations associa-tions having common stockholders stockhold-ers owning a majority of the stock of each corporation, company, com-pany, or association, or having one or more common officers or directors shall be charged against each other. Bids for a minimum of a single sin-gle unit, or for two or all of the units of the area, as advertised, will be entertained, and the successful suc-cessful bidder on such units will be required to take leases on the lands subject to the understanding understand-ing that a separate lease contract con-tract will be issued on each unit as listed, and all conditions of this advertisement shall apply to each separate lease contract so made. The sale will be held and the lease executed in accordance with the Act of May 11, 1938 (52 Stat. 347) and Title 25 C F R.. Part 186 as to tribal iands! Lease form 5-157 will be used for the lease contracts. Failure of the successful bidder bid-der to comply with the terms of the sale and the regulations, will render his deposit liable to forfeiture in the discretion of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs. Af-fairs. Leases filed after 20 days from date of mailing to lessee for execution will be subject to revaluation of bonus, if permission per-mission is not granted for an extension ex-tension of time. Sales will be cancelled and deposits forfetied at the expiration of the 20-day filing period unless for good and sufficient reason, an extension ex-tension of the filing period is granted. The right is reserved by the Commissioner of Indian Affairs Af-fairs to reject any or all bids and to disapprove any lease made on an accepted bid. Should any bid be rejected after a deposit de-posit is made, through no fault of the bidder, all moneys deposited de-posited shall be returned. The lessee must furnish a satisfactory sat-isfactory surety bond as required re-quired by the regulations. Bids received will be referred to the Ute Business Committee for their recommendation as to acceptance or ' rejection before such bids are referred to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs for final action. All bids must be marked on the outside of the envelope, "Bid on Oil and Gas Lease, Tribal Indian lands, not to be opened until 2 O'clock P. M., August 9, 1951." FORREST R.
