Show Exhibit Cattle Must Be Tested Before Fair Time County Fair Board officials this week reminded all who plan to exhibit cattle in the Duchesne County Fair next month that certain tests must be made on these alimals in order for them to be eligible as a fair entry. Following is a quotation from the fair "premium list in connection connec-tion with the rules governing livestock entries: "All bovine animals over six months of age must conform to the state law relative to gathering gather-ing of animals for exhibition purposes. This law reads 'All dairy and beef breeding stock over six months of age must pass a negative test for contagious conta-gious abortion within 60 days prior to the exhibit.' All those intending to exhibit animals under un-der this regulation must notify Louis A. Jensen, county agent, Roosevelt, Utah, by August 10, so' that appointments may be made with the veterinarian so this work may be done in time for the Fair. Certificates showing a negative nega-tive test-must be presented to the livestock attendant when the animal, or animals are entered en-tered at the fair grounds. |
