Show Merle L. Bell Studies At Oklahoma A & M One student from Roosevelt, Merle L. Bell, is enrolled a Okmulgee A & M Technical school h,is semester as part of the largest enrollment in the history Qf the- trade school, according ac-cording to information released by J. G. Hammond, registrar. Mr, Bell is enrolled In an auto mechanics course. According to L. K. Covelle, director of the Okmulgee school of industry, branch of Oklahoma Okla-homa A & M college, the 1520 persons enrolled this semester constitutes the largest enrollment enroll-ment since the school was established es-tablished in 1946. The number trades being offered, h,as" Increased from 11 'g4 different vocations, Co-yelle Co-yelle sa,id. In that same five-year five-year period, enrollment has mor"e than tripled, The school flas grown from 442 enrolled In 1846; to the present 1520. The college division at Okmulgee Okmul-gee Tech, cenaistlng of freshman and sophomore years, now has a large? enrollment than during any other summer semester in the history ot the school. Extension courses at the Okmulgee Ok-mulgee school have also increased increas-ed from 40 to approximately 300. Thirty-eight states. Alaska, Brazil, Neiva. Columbia. ' Guatemala Gua-temala City and Porto Rico are new represented at the voca-tional voca-tional institution, according to the registrar's office. |
