Bouquets of asters formed a striking background for the dessert des-sert luncheon which was served to eleven guests. PARTY HONORS JACK BACON The Frontier Grill was a popular pop-ular setting for parties this week, and adding their names to the list of hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Grant Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lyman, when they entertained in compliment to Jack Bacon, who left Monday to enlist in the navy. CONTRACT CLUB One of the week's most interesting in-teresting social affairs was the bridge-dinner Saturday evening at the Frontier Grill at which Mr and Mrs, Axel Birch enter, tained members of the Contract Con-tract club. An artistic arrangement of red roses centered the dining table, where covers were laid for Mr and Mrs. Lester Mullins, Mr and Mrs. Fred Ferron. Mr and Mrs. Paul Wilkins, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Orser, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Ashton, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Chamberlin, Mrs. Sam Weiss Mrs. Howard Harrison, Mrs Wayne Malin, Bob Ferron, Wm. H. UINTAH BASIN PICNIC SET IN CALIFORNIA Former Uintah Basin residents resi-dents who now call California their home, or those from this , area who might be visiting-' in the vicinity of South Gate, Cal-ifornia, Cal-ifornia, on Sunday, Oct. 15, are invited to attend the Uintah Basin Picnic, at South Gate Park. According to Mrs. May Denne-meyer Denne-meyer and Lyman Thompson, all' picnickes are requested to bring their own lunch and enjoy en-joy a visit with old friends and make new ones. BRIDGETTE All of the colors of the fall season were portrayed in tne decorations at the Pearl Moysh residence Thursday evening, when Mrs. Mont Killian extended extend-ed hospitality to members of Bridgette club. A tasty dessert luncheon. served against a background or. brightly colored fall flowers, was enjoyed by seven guests. Two tables were arranged for bridge, following luncheon. TUESDAY BRIDGE Red roses and mixed fall garden gar-den flowers lent their charm to the decorative theme when Mrs. Howard Harrison entertained members of her bridge club Tuesday evening. A dessert luncheon was featured,- with, covers laid for sixteen guests. Four tables were arranged for bridge following luncheon. Prizes were won by Mrs. Paul Wilkins, Mrs. Axel Birch, Mrs. J. V. McLea, Mrs. Paul String-ham String-ham and Mrs. Irene Fretwell. THOUGHT AND THIMBLE Arrangements of asters and other fall flowers added beauty to the Harold Dillman residence' Tuesday evening when Mrs. Dillman entertained members of Thought and Thimble club.
