Show Dorothy E. Tibbets Dorothy Eva Tibbets, 79, of 975 E. 1 175 S., Kaysville, died Friday, Jan. 1, 1988 in a Bountiful nursing home of causes incident to age. She was born Oct. 22, 1908 in Bashaw, Wise, a daughter of George Henry and Geraldine Fogle White. She married Guy Emergene Tibbets Tib-bets June 14, 1941 in Carson City, Nev. The marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. She had been a registered nurse for 25 years at Petaluma General Hospital in Petaluma, Calif. She was reared on a farm near Shell Lake, Wise. After graduating from high school she attended nursing school in Chicago, 111. She lived in Grass Valley, Calif., where she was employed as a nurse, then moved to Placerville, Calif., where she lived for two years. She had also lived in Oakland, Oak-land, Nevada City and Omega Mine, Calif. She lived in Petaluma, Calif, for 26 years. After her retirement retire-ment she and her husband moved to Kansas, living there for four years. She had resided in Kaysville for the past seven years. She was a member of the Farm-ington Farm-ington 7th LDS Ward. Surviving are her husband of Kaysville, two sons and one daughter, Jonathan Stewart Tibbets, Tib-bets, Kaysville; Guy Eugene Tibbets, Tib-bets, San Antonio, Tex. ; Mrs. John (Delphie Geraldine) Scratchley, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; nine grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Jason White, Nevada City, Calif.; Maurice White, Madison, Wise; Marian White, Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Francis Fran-cis (Sylvia) Fisher, Ashville, North Carolina. Family prayer was offered by Jonathan Tibbets; prelude, Nancy Lundquist; "How Gentle God's Commands" by Mary Tibbets, Lois Rasmussen and Julie Tibbets accompanied by Nancy Lundquist; Lund-quist; invocation, Rex Marsh; speaker, Jonathan Tibbets; "I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked" by Mary Tibbets and Lois Rasmussen accompanied by Nancy Lundquist; speaker, Olivia King; remarks, Bishop Delonne Anderson; benediction, Robert , Bateman. Dedication of the grave was by Dee Rees with interment in the Ogden City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jonathan Tibbets, Tib-bets, Joel Tibbets, Spencer Tibbets, Tib-bets, Brian Tibbets, Robert Bateman Bate-man and Dee Rees. Honorary pallbearers were Gregory Tibbets and Eugene Tibbets. |
