Show Workshop for parents slated The Parent Education Resource Center will present a four-session workshop entitled Precision Teaching A Tool for Parents. The course will teach skills to parents with which they can help their children chil-dren acquire a system for developing develop-ing effective study skills. This is a "how to" class involving specific examples of the techniques used. Mary Memmott, a classroom teacher who has used precision teaching approaches successfully in the classroom and who has taught parents to use them effectively effec-tively at home, will be the instructor. in-structor. This class will be held at the Monte Vista Center, 100 S. 200 E., Farmington, on Jan. 20, 27 and Feb. 3, 10. Preregistration is required . The Parent Education Resource Center is presenting a one-session workshop entitled "Building Your Child's Self Esteem." Self esteem is an important ingredient in determining deter-mining the degree of life success and satisfaction an individual will obtain. This workshop will explore ways in which parents can enhance their children's self esteem. The workshop presentor is Beverly Be-verly Dawson, director of PERC. Mrs. Dawson has been a social worker in the Davis School District for many years. "Building Your Child's Self Esteem" will be presented at the Parent Education Resource Center's Cen-ter's south Satellite at Washington Elementary, 340 W. 650 S., Bountiful. Boun-tiful.
