(Baha'i Scriptures) Scrip-tures) With words such as these, the religions of the world have envisioned en-visioned a time of world peace. In a special meeting hosted by the Baha'is of Bountiful, representatives representa-tives of various religions will gather Jan. 17 to celebrate World Religion Day; they will share prayers and scriptural readings from their respective faiths on the subject of peace. "Although at first glance the various va-rious religions of the world appear to be in conflict with each other, if we investigate more closely we find the same themes appearing in all the great religious traditions," stated Nelson Valken-LeDuc, a member of the Bountiful Baha'i community. "Principles such as the Golden Rule, Love of God, the brotherhood of Man, and the promise prom-ise of peace are found in the scriptures scrip-tures of all the major religions of the world." Among the religions represented . will be Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and the Baha'i Faith. There will be short, formal presentations from each group and a time for informal discussion, dis-cussion, refreshments, and fellowship. fellow-ship.
