Show SOCIETY Peggy Oldroyd, Society Reporter CASPER-HORROCKS NEOLA Mr. and Mrs. Clint Casper, of Tabiona, announce the marriage of their daughter, Doris, to Dale Horrocks, of Nc-ola, Nc-ola, in an impressive ceremony performed at Duchesne on December De-cember 23. The young couple were guests of honor at a lovely reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. La-vell La-vell Horrocks, in Neola, immediately immed-iately following the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Horrocks will make their home in Kansas City, Missouri, where Mr. Horrocks plans to attend school during the next eight months. NEW YEAR'S PARTY Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Norling, of Vallejo, California, entertained at a family dinner at the Frontier Grill on New Year's day. Enjoying the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Harmston, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Harmston and Jack, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harmston, Harm-ston, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harmston, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Harmston, and Pam and Richard Harmston. COLLEEN ORR TO WED ARDEN SULLIVAN Miss Colleen Orr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie J. Orr, of Mt. Emmons, will become the bride of Arden Sullivan, of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, in a lovely home ceremony set for January 22 at the Orr residence. Miss Orr is a graduate of Mt. Emmons high school. Mr. Sullivan Sulli-van is a Roosevelt high school alumna and is at present associated assoc-iated with the Roosevelt branch office of Uintah Freight Lines. CONTRACT CLUB Adding charm byway of evening eve-ning entertainment was the delightful de-lightful formal dinner and dancing danc-ing party at which Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Mullins entertained members mem-bers of Contract club at the Frontier Grill banquet room on January 8. The banquet table formed a delightful picture with its centerpiece cen-terpiece a floral arrangement of dainty pink blossoms flanked by lighted blue tapers. Covers were laid for twelve couples. Dancing and bridge formed the diversion, following dinner. I , NEIGHBORHOOD SEWING i A delicious dessert luncheon , was featured last Wednesday evening when Mrs. Neldon Ny-bergf Ny-bergf entertained members of. Neighborhood Sewing club. Covers were laid for eight guests, TUESDAY BRIDGE The fragrance of delicately perfumed red roses enhanced the the beauty of the home of Mrs. Bennie Schmictt when she entertained en-tertained sixteen members of the Tuesday Bridge club on January. 10. A tasty dessert supper was the center of comment. Bridge prizes during the evening eve-ning went to Mrs. R. S. Jordan, Mrs. Howard Harrison, Mrs. Axel Ax-el Birch and Mrs. Sam G. Weiss. BRIDGETTE Arrangements of pink and white carnations formed the lovely love-ly background for the tempting dessert luncheon at which Mrs. Bill Murdock entertained members mem-bers of her bridge club on January Jan-uary 6. Following luncheon, four ' tables were arranged for bridge. Prizes were won by Mrs. Steve Bellon, Mrs. Orson Stevens. Mrs. Kenneth Aycock and Mrs. Douglas Doug-las McKinlay. |
