Show Mt. Emmons Peggy Ann Case An announcement of interest, this week, is the engagement of Miss Colleen Orr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lesne J. Orr, to Arden Sullivan, of Roosevelt. J. Edgar Holder returned last Thursday after spending nearly two weeks in Salt Lake where he underwent treatment for asthma. E. P. Thomas, Swedish masseur, mas-seur, spent part of the holidays here with his wife. Mr. Thomas has his offices in Roosevelt. Invitations have been issued for a wedding reception in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Miles, to be held at the ward hall Thursday Thurs-day evening. The young couple were married Christmas eve. The bride is the former Evelyn Muir, of Duchesne. Mrs. Kenneth Carrell and son, of Upalco, visited a couple of days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Rogers. Leslie J. Orr was kicked on the leg by a horse last week and has since been confined to the- house. His leg is still badly bruised and i swollen. John Goodrich, of Bluebell, visited at the Floyd Case home, Thursday. , , The Altamont basketball boys played their regularly scheduled game Friday night at Tabiona. The first team was defeated, but the second team had better luck and scored a victory for Altamont. Alta-mont. Two bus loads of students made the trip to Tabiona. Martin Hislop, formerly an electrician with the Moon Lake Electric association, has gone to Wyoming where he has employment employ-ment with a construction company." com-pany." Mrs. Kelly Sprouse and baby, of Roosevelt, are spending several sev-eral days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case, while Kelly is under medical treatment in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Leslie J. Orr and daughter, daugh-ter, Colleen, spent the weekend in Salt Lake. They were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur Case while in the city. Snow fell most of Saturday night and continued Sunday. It is estimated that at least 2Vz feet have fallen in the three storms that have visited this section. . The Moon Lake Electric Association As-sociation has been having difficulty diffi-culty in maintaining sufficient power for its far-flung system of lines, during the past two weeks. The chief reason for trouble has been shortage of water to generate gene-rate power. This shortage is due to two factors: first, the summer drought made it impossible to store water in any quantity, and to make matters worse, sub-zero weather has frozen the meager supply. . ... . |
