Show Whiterocks and Ft. Duchesne News (MrsEslher Odekirk) Mrs. John Murray left Monday ior Colorado Springs where she i will spend a month visiting' friends and relatives. The Rev. S.J. Talbot left Sunday Sun-day for Salt Lake City where he will attend the 39th Annual Convocation Con-vocation of the Episcopal District Dis-trict of UtaH. Miss Rosa Bird Marimon, after spending a few days visiting her mother, Mrs. Robt. Marimon Sr , left Tues. for Ogden where she will visit with relatives a few days before going on to Calif, to attend the summer session of the , XJ.CL.A, l Miss Mary Talbot, student nurse at the New York Hospital is here to spend a month with her parents, Rev. and Mrs. S. J. Talbot. Tal-bot. Those from Whiterocks, attending at-tending the funeral services held for Dr. Whitemore at Roosevelt Saturday were, Mr. and Mrs Robt. L. Marimon, Mrs. Lawrence Lawr-ence Phillips, and Frank Chamber! Cham-ber! in. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. B. Show-waiter Show-waiter and family left Sunday for Salinas California where they will spend a two week vacation Mrs. W.J. Seaton of Duchesne was a week end visitor at the home of her daughter "MVc vir.-. Wheeler. v A birthday pa.rty was held at Fort Duchesne, in honor of Jac-quelyn Jac-quelyn Holmes.i The afternoon was spent in playing games. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to the following guests: Donny Tyrone, Karan Kolb, Rosemary and Charles Char-les Daniels, Claude and Dorothy Lott, Jimmy Nevins, Faye and Wayne Faulkner, Jackie Bailey and Lyle Woodward. A lovely Turkey dinner served ser-ved buffet style was held in honor hon-or of Clair Oberhansley at his home. The guests were Phyliss and Bernard Oberhansley, Lyle and Genva Larsen, Rose and Robt. Holmes, Lola Bailey, Gene Howell, Fern Brown, Merton Daniels, Daniel Crumbo and John Day. Following the dinner games were played. Luke Jenks, Robert Jenks, Ro- lhapoose' Dan Santis, Willis Thompson and Ferdinahd Manning, 4 H Club boys of the Uintah Boarding School, entered six steers in the Jr. Intermoun-tam Intermoun-tam Livestock show .The boys were accompanied by 4-H leader Robt. Holmes and stockman Ross Iorg. The bovs prices for their steers and are anxious to enter the show again next year. T Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Fairbanks Fair-banks and daughter. Velda, were Saturday guests of Mr. and Mrs L. Odekirk. Charles Daniels and Jimmy Nevins entertained a small group of friends at the Nevins home Monday ,the occasion being the birthday anniversaries of the two boys. The afternoon was spent in. play ing games, after which refreshments were en joyed. |
