Show ALTONAH (Mrs. Ethel Bee be) Mr. and Mrs. Rawlins Thack-er, Thack-er, of Mt. Emmons, were Alton-ah Alton-ah visitors Wednesday. Bert Allred, of Grand Junction, Junc-tion, Colorado, visited his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Allred, a few days last week. Mrs. R. Wm. Snyder was taken tak-en to the Roosevelt hospital Thursday to be treated for heart trouble. Her daughter, Mrs. Jerald Jacobson, accompanied her. Ray Jordan, of the Roosevelt bank was transacting business in Altonah, Thursday. The Altonah Relief Society officers, of-ficers, Mrs. Mable Maxfield, Mrs. Bell Allred, Mrs, Etta Berrett, Mrs. Bertha Ralphs, Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Maxfield, Mrs. Mable Cook, Mrs. Thora Timothy and Bishop Lester Maxfield attended Relief Society convention at Mt. Emmons Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Dora Bird and family have moved into the government house north of town. Mr. and Mrs. Max Allred spent a week visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Allred in Grand Junction, returning home Wednesday. 'Mr. and Mrs. Dean Mecham have moved to Vernal. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe and Frank Beebe were in Roosevelt Roose-velt on business Tuesday. School started Monday with Mrs. Madeline Perkins and Mrs. Ilez Ames as teachers. Mrs. Francis Allred is cooking hot lunches. Dave "031X01 is janitor and George Berrett and Fenton Powell are bus drivers. A number of Altonah people attended the rodeo at Duchesne Friday and Saturday. , Miss Sara Murray made a trip to Salt Lake City last week. Mrs. Wm. Ralphs and Mrs. Vendetta Clark visited in Vernal Ver-nal last week. E. L. Murphy, of Upalco, was an Altonah visitor Sunday. Ralph Clark arrived home Friday from California. He has received his release from the service. Ralph spent 21 months in the Medical Corps in California. Califor-nia. A number of Altonah people attended Correlation meeting at Mt. Emmons Sunday afternoon. |
