Show State To Solicit Neola Road Bids Plans for development of the Roosevelt-Neola road are now under review at the district" office of-fice of the Public Roads Administration Admin-istration in Ogden, and in all probability the state will be authorized au-thorized to solicit bids for the project in about two weeks, according ac-cording to word from the public roads office. For the most part the alignment align-ment of the improved road will , follow the present route. The district engineer's office announces an-nounces that it is quite possible that some work will be performed per-formed on the project this fall, with the bulk of the construction construc-tion being carried over until the spring of 1947. The approximate cost of improving im-proving the Roosevelt - Neola road will be $200,000. Approximately Approxi-mately 10 miles of construction will be necessary, and a stable base will be provided to insure adequate support in all seasons. The road surface will be the oiled oil-ed gravel type, 26 feet wide. The Roosevelt-Neola project is the first Federal Aid to States project in Duchesne county, authorized au-thorized under an extensive secondary sec-ondary road program designed to improve feeder roads leading into U. S. Highway 40. |
