Show SOCIETY" HARVEST BALL , Holding a top 'spot on the week's social calendar was the annual Harvest Ball sponsored by the Roosevelt High School Ag club last Friday evening in the Elementary school gym. FIRESIDE CHAT The Roosevelt Ward M Men and Gleaners enjoyed a lovely Fireside service Sunday evening eve-ning at the Roosevelt Stake chapel. chap-el. Highlight of the program were picture slides shown by Dr. Glenn H. Wyler of his travels while serving in the U. S. Navy. The pictures covered interesting places from all parts of the world. Refreshments were served to sixteen guests. Velma Todd and Erma Eldrcdgc were hostesses. .. FRIDAY BRIDGE It was luncheon for twelve at the Paul Wilkins residence Friday Fri-day evening when Mrs. Wilkins entertained members of her bridge club. Prizes during the evening were won by Mrs. Bob Huish, Mrs. Les Mullins, Mrs. John Bourne and Mrs. Fred For-ron. For-ron. BRIDGETTE Members of Bridgettc club were delightfully entertained last Thursday evening at the Elmer El-mer Eldredge residence. A dessert des-sert luncheon was featured with covers laid for 12 guests. Following luncheon tables were arranged for bridge with prizes going to Mrs. Marvell Neilson, Mrs. Jack Mohlman and Mrs. Reed Wiscombe. CONTRACT CLUB Extending hospital ity at dinner din-ner on Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Orser, when they entertained en-tertained members of the Contract Con-tract club at the Roosevelt Banquet Ban-quet room. Tables were beautifully arranged ar-ranged with pyracantha and fall fruits forming a colorful centerpiece. center-piece. Places were marked for 20 guests. Bridge at the Orser residence formed the diversion following dinner. High score for the evening eve-ning was made by Mr. and Mrs. Les Mullins. THOUGHT AND THIMBLE Mrs. Elroy Wilkins entertained entertain-ed the Thought and Thimble club at a delightful two-course luncheon at her residence last Tuesday evening. Seven guests enjoyed the occasion. |
