Show Exams Called For Filling Jobs In Federal Service The U. S. Civil Service Com-mission Com-mission has called examinations for filling seven classified positions posi-tions in various Federal agencies throughout Utah, Colorado, Wyoming Wy-oming and-New Mexico, Postmaster Post-master J. Austin Pack repealed this week. ' Examinations will be given for Junior Professional Assistant in the following optional fields: Administrative Technician, Economist, Econ-omist, Legal Assistant, Mathematician, Mathe-matician, Metallurgist and -Statistician. Entrance salary for this position is $2644 a year." The age limits are 18 to 35, except ex-cept in the case of veterans, who are exempt from this limitation. To qualify for the examination an applicant must have had a full four-year college course or a combination of appropriate education ed-ucation and experience equivalent equiva-lent to college work. Three professional posts, Engineer, Engi-neer, Physicist and Chemist will be filled by examination.. Start-1 Start-1 Ing salaries for theae positions are $2644 a year. Certain educational educa-tional requirements are essential for eligibility. Positions in the Soil Conservation Conserva-tion Service are also included in the Civil Service announcement. They are: Soil Conservationist P-2, Soil Scientist P-2, and Agricultural Ag-ricultural and Civil Engineer P-2. Starting salary is $3397 in each instance. No written examination exam-ination Is required; competitors will be rated on the extent and quality of their training and experience ex-perience relevant to the duties of the positions.
