Bridge was enjoyed after luncheon. Miss Prima Smith, of Salt Lake city spent a few days last week with her parents, Mr. -and Mrs. Jay Smith. Mrs. George Roth, of Vernal, arrived Friday to visit her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kochler. Claude Nebeker, who has been attending school in Minneapolis, Min-neapolis, Minn, arrived Friday to visit with his parents. Mr. and Mrs Stanley Nebeker, before leaving Sunday for Boise, Idaho where he will be employed in the Northrup King Seed company com-pany laboratory. Charles Martin came from Ashton. Idaho last week to visit with his family who have been in Myton for several weeks, during dur-ing the illness of Mrs. Martin's mother. M-s. James Giles. Mr. and Mrs Kenneth Smith, who came from Salt Lake City last week. Kenneth was injured at Ileber a short time ago and is now convalescing con-valescing after being hospitalized hospital-ized for a week or more. Frcdricka Dart left Friday for Salt Lake, accompanying her sister sis-ter Dorothv. who has been visiting visit-ing at the Dart home. Fredricka then went on to Wasatch Academy Acad-emy at Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Fred Todd, Nancy Todd, and Philip Todd left Sunday for Mt Pleasant where Philip will enroll at Wasatch Academy. Nancv is a graduate of the Academy, Acad-emy, having completed her course last June. Mr. and Mrs. George Funk took their daughter. Frances, and ron. Howard, to Mt. Pleasant Sunday. Frances will enter her junior vear at the academy while this will be Howard's first year. Mrs. Denzel Hemphill and daughter. Helene, left Monday to enroll Helene as a student at Wasatch Academy. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Jenson and small son came from Rangc-ly Rangc-ly to spend the Labor Day weekend week-end at the home of Mrs. Jenson's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Frandsen. Mr. and Mrs. Max Jenson and children spent the weekend at the ranch home of Mrs. Jenson's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dennis. Five completely destroyed the house on the "Miller" Peterson property a mile north of town, Wednesday evening. The house was occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Von Roper and family, who lost most of their furniture and personal per-sonal belongings in the flames. Ncal Murray suffered painful foot injuries last week while working at the Myton school apartments, which are now bcin completed. Frank Dcfa. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Adams left Friday for Lcvan where they attended the biseball tournament, tour-nament, Saturday. They visited in Provo on their return trip and brought Mrs. Adrms nieces. Miss Marion Wilson and Miss Billie West, for a visit in Mvton. Mrs. D.- C. ITanficld arrived Monday eveni'-q from New York City to visit at the home of hor grandfather, A. M. Todd. Mr. and Mrs. Hillary Holder and son. Lorrv. nf Salt Lake City, visited with Myton friends Monday while attending to their property interests. M.r. and Mrs. Harold Kienly and daughters left' Monday for their home in Pasadena. Calif., after spending a two-week vacation va-cation in Myton and Roosevelt. Mrs. Kienly, a daughter of Mrs. Wm. Forsythc, and her husband and children remained at the former Forsythe home after the departure of her mother so they could visit with relatives and . friends here and in Roosevelt." Garland Reed came from Salt Lake City, where he is working, to move his wife and family there to make their home. .; Mrs. Ivy Adams, of Midway' arrived Sunday to make Myton her home during the school year. She will reside at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Harris and will instruct the 6th grade at the Myton Elementary school. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Jacobs are now at home in one of the new school apartments, having arrived Saturday. Mr. Jacobs will be principal at the Myton school. Mrs. Oscar Adams returned Monday, evening from a short visit in Salt Lake City. James Andrews, of Salt Lake City, was a weekend guest at the W. R. Harris home. Renae Wells, who has been visiting with her uncle and aunt during the past 2 weeks, acompanied him on his return to Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Perry took their children to Salt Lake Sunday Sun-day to enroll them in school. Mrs. Lydia Peatross accompanied accompan-ied them to care for tHe children while Mr. and Mrs. Perry will return to stay on their farm near Myton until the fall crops arc harvested. Basebell fans are looking forward for-ward to a rosl-seajon game to be played next Saturday. Sept. 11, at Ft. Duchesne, when a picked team composed of Myton and Ft. Duchesne players will cross bats with the' Bennett team. This game should draw a large crowd as the Bennett team has an excellent record, not having hav-ing lost a game during the season. sea-son. Homer Robinson and daughter Wilda Fay, wrnt to Salt Lake Sunday to visit with Mrs. Robinson, Robin-son, who underwent an operation opera-tion in a Salt Lake hospital last week.
