Show SOCIETY VISITING TEACHERS HONORED AT MONTWEL MONTWEL (Special) Eighty members of the Montwel Ward enjoyed an oyster supper Monday Mon-day evening at the Montwel Ward hall, a salute to the visiting visit-ing teachers of the Relief Society by the regular ward teachers. Guests were seated at three long tables beautifully decorated with flowers. James E. Bacon acted as master mas-ter of ceremonies while Daniel S. Pace was hi charge of refreshments. refresh-ments. During dinner guests were entertained en-tertained by a high class comedy program. Marilyn Winterlon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Omni Winterton, presented . a tap dance; piano selections were played by David Wilson and El-don El-don Winterton sang two solos, accompanied ac-companied by his mother, Mrs. Van Winterton. A comic reading was given by Beth Fredricksori Sullivan, and an animated reading read-ing was given by Carma Wilson, assisted by Omni Winterton, David Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Van D. Winterton and Beth Sullivan. Each of the 13 visiting teach ers were introduced and received re-ceived special recognition. Responses Re-sponses were given by Golda Adams, president of the Relief Society; Bishop Harvey D. Adams Ad-ams and by Florence Neilson, who was introduced as the Mother Moth-er of Mothers. Bishop Thomas R. Todd, senior member of the Roosevelt Stake High Council i recounted his experiences while bishop of the Ccdarview Ward. Heber T. Hall, advisor to the Stake Relief Society, also addressed ad-dressed the group. Aldon White, chairman of the .Stake Committee Commit-tee on ward teaching, gave instructions in-structions and encouragement to the Ward teachers. Invocation was offered by Maurel M. Taylor; Tay-lor; benediction by R. L. Neilson, of the Stake High Council. Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Aldon White, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Ncilscn, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Todd, and Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Redmond. JR. CULTURE CLUB Regular meeting of the Jr. Culture Club was held Tuesday evening at the residence of Mrs. Jack Mohlman, with Mrs. James' Lewis as co-hostess. Gordon Harmston, guest speaker of the evening, chose the Constitution of the United States as his subject. sub-ject. It was voted to donate $12.50 to the PTA Youth Program fund. The evening concluded with a delightful dessert luncheon served to fourteen members and guests. THOUGHT AND THIMBLE An afternoon of sewing and a tempting two- course luncheon lunch-eon provided relaxation irt the Olen Perryman residence on April 23 when Mrs. Perryman entertained four members of Thought and Thimble club. NEIGHBORHOOD SEWING Mrs. Joseph Rawlings was hostess to members and guests of Neighborhood Sewing club at a delightfully arranged salad course supper Wednesday evening eve-ning at her home. Her guest list numbered twelve. Mrs. Catherine Cather-ine Watkins, of Tremonton, was a special guest. ENTERTAINS AT BRIDGE A salad course luncheon was featured when Mrs. Sam Weiss entertained a group of friends at her home last Saturday afternoon. after-noon. Covers were laid for eight guests. Bridge formed the diversion, diver-sion, following luncheon, with prizes going to Mrs. Eugene Harmston and Mrs. Louis Cor-bridge, Cor-bridge, WEDDING ANNOUNCED MONTWEL (Special) Of interest in-terest to their many friends is the announcement of the marriage mar-riage of Miss Colccn Reynolds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elzy Reynolds, and Lec Blanchard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Blanchard. Blanch-ard. The young couple were married in Salt Lake City April 10. They will make their home in Montwel. UFW CONVENTION HELD-AT VERNAL The annual spring convention of thev Uintah Basin Federated Women's clubs was held at Hotel Vernal, Thursday, April 22, attended at-tended by representatives of the Vernal, Ft. Duchesne and Roosevelt Roose-velt clubs. Utah State Federation President Presi-dent Kathryn L. Kingston, Mrs. I. R, Morrison, 1st vice president; and Mrs. Harold L. Christensen, 2nd vice president, were guest speakers. Each was presented with a lovely corsage. Each club president gave a report re-port of the club's yearly activities activi-ties and it was urged by Mrs Kingston that all club members attend the state convention to be held at the Hotel Newhouse, May 18-20. Dinner was served to 123 members and guests who were seated at small tables attractively attractive-ly centered with bouquets of daffodils. The Roosevelt Jr. Culture Cul-ture club was in charge of the program presented by Miss Esther Wogec and Clyde Johnson. John-son. VARIETY CLUB The Mt. Emmons Variety club met, April 19, at the residence of Mrs. Anna Hartman, with Margaret Timothy and "LaRue Stevensen acting as hostesses. A delightful waffle supper was served with places marked for eleven club members, and Mrs. Stella Davies, a special guest. t WEDDING ANNOUNCED Miss Racola Kelsey and J. Douglas Holm were united in marriage in a ceremony performed per-formed by Justice of the Peace H. Vern Wentz, of Orem, Friday Fri-day evening, April 23. The bride, a former student of Roosevelt High school and the B Y U at Provo, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde R. Kelsey, of Roosevelt. Mr. Holm, recently of the U. S. Army-- is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Holm, of Provo. The young couple will make their home in Provo. LADIES' FISH AND GAME The Ladies' Fish and Game club enjoyed a delightful pot-luck pot-luck supper Monday evening at the Howard Andrews residence with six members participating. CELEBRATE 33rd WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Workman Work-man were guests of honor Monday Mon-day evening at a reception commemorating com-memorating their 33rd wedding anniversary. Planned by friends as a surprise, the event was held at the Workman residence where 29 guests gathered to pay their respects to the Workmans. Dainty refreshments were served featuring a beautifully decorated wedding cake, topped by a miniature bride and groom. Bouquets of daffodils and white daisies added their note of charm to the decorative theme. ROOSEVELT B P W Regular meeting of the Roosevelt Roose-velt Business and Professional Women was held April 21 at the Frontier Grill with Mrs. Norman Murphy,' Mrs. George Stewart, Mrs. Paul Wilkins, Mrs. Harvey Riggle and Mrs. Reva Owens serving as hostesses. The banquet, commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the organization of the Roosevelt club, featured birthday candle favors and sprightly bouquets of spring flowers as a decorative theme. Mrs. Norman Murphy acted as toastmistress and introduced Mrs. C. L.
