Show Arcadia Mm. Marlon S. Shields A farewell testimonial, under the direction of the ward bishopric, bishop-ric, was held Thursday, Feb. 26, complimentary to Grant T. Hor-rocks Hor-rocks and Dclmar L. Ross, who left Sunday for Salt Lake City to enter the L.D.S. mission home. A fine program was carried out and the balance of the evening was devoted to dancing. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served. $260.00 was taken in for the boys. Grant will serve in the California Mission and Delmar in the Southern States Mission. Mrs. Arvetta H. Holgate visited last week at tne nome w e daughter and son-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Larscn. Mr. Caddy has sold his farm to Archie Larsen and has gone to California to make his home. The Roper family, who have been employed at the Fairbanks' farm for the last two years, have moved and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Snyder will take charge at the ranch. Henry Richens has been ill the past week with an infection in his hands. Byron Gilbert, of Roosevelt, called on relatives here Sunday. R. S. Lusty made a trip to Salt Lake City, Sunday afternoon. Francis Ross has completed the erection of an A-Gradc cow barn. . , , The Gold and Green Ball held Feb. 24 at the ward chapel was a great success. Miss Lurrine Bird acted as Queen with Leland Bird as Prince Charming. Flower girls were Jeannie Ross and Carolyn Gilbert. A show will be presented every Friday night at the ward chapel. Dinner guests Sunday afternoon after-noon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vernal J. Nielsen were Bishop and Mrs. Marion Ross and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Loryn Ross and daughters, and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Mecham and baby. |
