Show Control Of Pests Means More Meat "Meat production in Utah can be greatly increased through control con-trol of livestock pests," Dr. G. F. Knowlton, Utah State Extension Exten-sion entomologist, declared today. to-day. "Fly contorl, including horn-fly horn-fly control, resulted in production produc-tion of 40 to 60 pounds of extra beef per animal for livestock owners who did a good job. of this control program," Dr. Knowlton reported. "Cattle and hog lice control grub control during late winter and early spring, can produce several thousands tons of extra meat of higher than average quality for just the cost of the control treatments," the Extension Exten-sion entomologist declared.
