' ' " T ' Mary Ellen Stewart To Reign At Festival I '. .! : -v . s Marilyn Wills Patricia Wills ' Finishing Touches Complete Plans For Annual Gold Und Green Ball Interest in the Gold and Green Ball, scheduled for Friday night in the Roosevelt Stake amusement amuse-ment hall, is mounting as the two Roosevelt wards put; finishing touches to the annual event. The decorations, depicting the theme, "Moonlight and Rosea," are in the last hours of completion. The crowning of the two queens, Patricia Wills and Ila Ruth Zimmerman by M Men Ray Johnson and Roland Buchanan will be a spotlight ceremony. The queens will be attended by Marilyn Wills, Mary Ellen Stewart, Stew-art, Erma Eldredge and Audrey Smith. Carol Schaefermeyer and Colleen Moore have been selected select-ed as flower girls; Douglas Wy-ler Wy-ler and Bobby Sather for crown bearers with Burke Eldredge and Jack Alexander acting as page and bugler, respectively. The coronation ceremony will take place between 9:30 and 10 p. m. Other events of the evening will include a floor show under the direction of Woodrow Church and Fred Gagon. This will be in keeping with the Stake theme of "The United Nations." In this feature a German folk dance in full costume will be presented by dancers from the Roosevelt Ward. Second Ward participants, in Bohemian dress, will offer a combination Schottiche and waltz. The queen and her attendants from the Second Ward are pictured pic-tured above. The Roosevelt Ward queen and attendants were featured fea-tured in last week's edition of the Standard. |
