Show P P H L to FOH R Y IS ta busy week also includes dealing with bad checks and jail breaks besides answering to a national call for aid in finding the lindbergh baby in which case they have received notices and letters from the united states criminologist edgar hoover sheriff V ja M fairbanks and deputy A 0 hopkins have had a busy week as the following record of activities shows smith fielding of los angeles who was bound over to the district court on a felony charge two weeks ago filed a bond with the clerk of the court wednesday and was released from the county jail fielding a poultry buyer had issued a worthless check of to A 0 of richfield the latter part of february and was brought here by sheriff V M fairbanks from los angeles two weeks ago the case has been set for may mav 9 ray christensen and ed andreason of redmond are implicated in a forgery charge and it is expected that a warrant for their arrest will vill be issued today andreason was arrested saturday alleged to have forged the name of rufus frandson on a 14 check issued to the salina meat market he was held until tuesday when further investigations led to the belief that christensen was also implicated charles wilson 20 who escaped twice this month from peace officers of wayne and sevier county was captured thursday afternoon by deputy sheriff A 0 hopkins of sevier county at sigurd the arrest was made after the wayne county sheriff had notified local officers that wilson was leaving the country and had asked them to stop him at sigurd wilson was received at the sevier county jail march I 1 to serve a 50 day sentence imposed in wayne county on w worthless 0 rt liless check charges he escaped march 9 while worl working drig on the courthouse grounds with other prisoners several days later he was apprehended in wayne county by sheriff diaries charles forsythe and held there making his escape thursday morning wilson faces a bad check complaint in salina and will probably be chaigen with jail breaking according to county attorney T A hunt wilson was sentenced to serve an indeterminate sentence in the state prison in march 1930 from sanpete county on a forgery charge chang e and was paroled in july of that year he also served a 14 day term in the sevier county jail in november 1931 on a worthless check charge |
