| Show 0 0 I 1 ELSIN ELSINORE ORE 1 by special correspond Corre correspondent spon c nt 0 0 funeral services for ah mrs s hannah J lott att funeral services were held in the ward chapel wednesday afternoon for mrs hannah lott lot who passed away september 12 at her home here after a brief il illness albert 0 engar of the bishopric officiated at the alie services sen ices which were largely attended by members of the ward as well as by friends and relatives from neighboring towns musical numbers consisted of a vocal duct by mrs airs mae alae jensen and mrs minnie sylvester a vocal solo by mrs airs sylvester and two selections by mrs airs verba harward mrs bessie hill mrs stella hill and miss bliss elizabeth the speakers were patriarch J 1 I jensen J L staples and H J kotter the invocation was offered by E A jackman of joseph and the benediction by W W sylvester interment was in the elsinore cemetery i genealogical program A pleasing program was enjoyed sunday night sponsored by the genealogical committee incon in connection with the regular sacramental meeting mrs aletta engar was in charge an interesting address was delivered by phil shipp of joseph donna gave an appropriate reading and a brief dramatization of the book of remembrance was presented by mrs airs clara kotter and son james musical numbers were a quartet by bliss mias ruby thurber miss aliss marion bean darrell danell dan ell and ed of richfield with miss ora om gledhill hill as accompanist A ladies chorus with mrs airs minnie sylvester as soloist directed by mrs helen christensen Chii stensen and the junior chorus under the direction of miss bliss elizabeth a added three musical selections to the program the ward were reorganized recently the new executive officers are Y M M I 1 A E R gordon christensen president alfred alaison mad son and arthur johnson counselors max marquardson secretary treasurer Y L M 1 I A mrs airs matilda 13 ross president mrs eva brown and mrs reta beta bradley counselors lavon marquardson secretary treasurer all of the officers class leaders and music director were in attendance at the tri stake M 1 I A convention held at mrs mary lan larson lanon on was hostess to the members of the ladies social circle at her home thursday afternoon mrs hans madson of fairview spent sunday and monday at the home of her daughter mrs basil jensen the south sevier stake relief society held their annual class leaders and visiting teachers convention sunday afternoon at monroe president annetta christensen of the stake board was in charge A pleasing feature of the convention was the large number in attendance A shower was given at the home of mrs clara thursday night in honor of mr air and mrs max who were married last week A large number of friends participated in the pleasant affair the young couple received many beautiful gifts county agent S R boswell E C J 1 I curtis J J and leland chidester of richfield were speakers at a poultry meeting held here wednesday night the speakers assured the local poultry men that there Js is a bright future ahead musical entertainment was furnished by the junior chorus under direction of miss bliss elizabeth mrs lee whiting and d daughter aughter myrie and the baby orchestra directed by mrs airs lillian jensen mr air and mrs airs william harward and baby claire left monday for rexburg Rex burg idaho to attend the funeral of miss bliss opal rock an intimate friend of the harwards Har wards mrs fred levi mrs airs antone johnson and son dick mrs airs lamar and mrs airs max root and children of milford spent tuesday here at the home of mrs marie miss thelma bell who had been visiting at the home of her sister mrs airs june webb of provo prove returned home friday of ephraim and mr air and mrs airs wendell anderson of richfield spent sunday at the home of mr air and mrs N P anderson bishop and mrs airs leon T madson mrs lillie roberts and mrs annetta christensen participated in the stake excursion to the manti temple friday mrs anna bell entertained the members of the L L club at her home wednesday afternoon miss elizabeth george jackson and mr of the stake M I 1 A board were in attendance at the regular M 1 I A meeting tuesday night miss lucille christensen left friday for logan where she will enroll as a student of the U S A C miss bliss maxine johnson left tuesday for salt lake she expects to spend the winter there |
