| Show MOTHER OF blochl DIES IN ST GEORG E funeral services for mrs john E pace were held saturday mr and mrs airs W B pace returned su sunday aday night from st george bhele they had gone upon receiving the sad news of the passing of mrs mn john E pace mother of mr W B who died jn dri st george wednesday afternoon with mr and mrs pace had gone their son frank and their daughters phoebe helen juliette Julic tte and barbara barbara par bara to attend the funeral services ices the death of mrs phoebe ann covington pace was caused by heart trouble she had been ill for two weeks preceding her passing but her condition had not been considered serious and her death therefore came as a great shock to her family and the entire community mrs airs pace was born bom november 21 1857 at big cottonwood a daughter of robert D and nancy roberts covington she came with her parents to Wai washington hington county when she was one year of age and has lived there here ever since she was married to john E pace january 11 1877 the opening day of the st george temple from this union came twelve children eleven of whom survive to wit vit robert J of los angeles andrew G of vallejo california frank C of caliente nevada william B of richfield Kich field john W of st george mrs martha dalley and mrs amda amanda peterson of cedar city walter C mrs airs J 1 I sanders and miss lapreal pace of st george in addition to these eleven children she is survived by her venerable husband thirty grandchildren and one great grandchild funeral services were held saturday afternoon bishop wilford mcarthur officiating the speakers who paid high tribute to the deceased as well as to her family were judge D H morris stake president george F whitehead Whit chead andrew windsor and dr D A mcgregor interment was in the st george cemetery |
