Fcr s?"vice to God, country and humanity, and to promote peace and bi otherhood among men and nations, we, the women relatives cf nu n and women who actively participated in the World War, associate as-sociate ourselves together. Mrs. W. C. Olsen, president oi the local Service Star Chapter, reports that the members of the chapter, through their donations, of fruit, vegetables and clothing were able to brighten the Christmas Christ-mas of several families of ex-ser vice men in our community. l'he Subbing for Santa, done by the Service Star was made possible by Mr. Clarence Anderson, man-skw man-skw of the local J. C. Penney Store. He contributed toys to U: ; extent of about thirty children outside of Service Star jurisdiction rcei iviiig Santa aid. Mu'-h praise and credit is due M. Anderson, and the officers of 111 Service Star take this means of publicly thanking him for his help, arj assuring him that hap-pine-s was brought to many kiddies kid-dies through bis generosity to lh3 Service Star Legion. T'istribution of the food, clothing cloth-ing and toys was made by Pres. O'sen, treasurer, Mrs. A. V. Borg, ?.r-d a special Christmas relief mniittee consisting of Mrs. Thos. Christensen, Mrs. Bruce Seely and H s. W. A. Norman. |
