Show Moth Threatens Utah Potatoes Conclusions reached apparently by officials of both the California and the Colorado departments of agriculture that the potato tubei moth will not establish itself in climates such as that of Utah are very definitely disproven, Dr. F. E. Stephens, state agricultural inspector in-spector for Utah, points out. "We have already found an Infestation In-festation of this pest in southern Utah," said Dr. Stephens Wednesday. Wed-nesday. "Every effort, therefore, should be made to prevent the introduction in-troduction of the tuber moth into Utah." Dr. Stephens will recommena to the state board of agriculture at its meeting in the Hotel Bigelow at Ogden that the Utah tuber moth quarantine be modified so as to require vacuum fumigation cn all California potatoes coming into Utah. |
