A few friends and relatives spent a pleasant afternoon with Mrs. Lillian Mernane on January 8th, the occasion being her birthday birth-day anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jensen attended at-tended funeral services Friday for Miss Jessie Armstrong of Ephraim. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Porter of Gunnison visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John H. Colman. Miss Anna Olsen is visiting with her sister, Mrs. Ernest Lancaster, at Eingham. Bishop James F. Ellis has been in Salt Lake City on business this week. Mrs. Robert Dye has returned home after a four weeks visit in Provo with relatives. Mrs. Rulen Strate and smaU son, Arthur, have returned home from California where they spent the last four months visiting Mrs Strates parents and other relatives. rela-tives. The directors of the Spring City Roller Mill held their annual business bus-iness meeting Monday, January 11. Reese Bunnell resigned from the office of secretary and Chris Thompsen was elected in his place. All other officers were reelected. re-elected. Mrs. Alma Daunard entertained a number of friends on her birthday. birth-day. Thursday January 7. Mr. and Mrs. Claren Schofield are proud to announce the arrival of a baby girl at their home on Sunday, January 10. Postmaster and Mrs. John F. Justesen gave a reception dinner Saturday evening in honor of their daughter, Cera Virginia, who was married to Fergus Thompsen of this city on December 30. The people of Spring City wish them futiu'e success and happiness. Mr. George Olsen and Hans Winters were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Jensen Saturday. They left for their home in Castle Dale Sunday and were accompanied accompan-ied by Mr. Gottfred Larsen, who will visit there with Mr. Olsen. Mrs. Joseph T. Beck entertained 18 young people in honor of her son, Morris's 10th birthday. Parent-teachers meeting was held Thursday afternoon in the junior high school Mr. Darley 1 gave a lesson on growing potatoes.
