Show r 1 ! FOUNTAIN GREEN ! I By Special Correspondence j Local people were shocked to hear of the sudden death of Peter Jacobson, 60, of Provo last week. He was a former resident of this city. He had left his home to attend at-tend a meeting. His family became be-came alarmed when he did not return home. He was found dead in his car from a heart attack the next morning. He was a prominent prom-inent sheep man, was connected with several banks, and had worked work-ed for two years in the Manti Temple. He is survived by Iris wife, Johanna Jo-hanna Jacobson of Provo, and the following children: Virgil Jacob-son Jacob-son and Rowena Allred of Fountain Foun-tain Green; Ruel Jacobson of Provo; Pro-vo; three brothers, Lewis and Hy-rum Hy-rum of Fountain Green and James of Shelley, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Anderson of Fountain Green, Mrs. O. J. Reese of Salt Lake. Funeral services were held at the Provo First ward on October 23. David John and Bishop Whitehead White-head of Provo, James L. Nielson of Fountain Green and Apostle Reed Smoot were the speakers. Orin Jackson of Provo and Hilda Christiansen of this city sang solos. so-los. The prayers were offered by Charles Taylor and Joseph A Buttle. The body was brought to Fountain Foun-tain Green for burial and funeral services were held Monday afternoon after-noon at the ward chapel. Patriarch Orlando Bradley of Moroni, F. H Rasmussen of Ephralm, Bishop Whitehead of Provo, J. S. Nielson John E. Aagard and N. M. Jensen were the speakers. T. A. Peterson and LaVerne Johnson of Ephraim rendered a duet and Randall Christiansen sang a solo. Music was by the ward choir. Prayers were offered by President Joseph R. Christiansen and James F. Robertson. The grave was dedicated dedi-cated by H. P. Olson. Mr. Hyrum N. Hansen announces announc-es the marriage of his daughter, Beth, to Elmo Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Anderson at Moroni on October 21st. Patriarch Orlando Bradley performed the ceremony. Two showers were given giv-en this week in their honor. One was given by relatives at her home and Mr. and Mrs. John E. Aaagard gave one at their home. The newlyweds left Monday for Standardville where he has employment. em-ployment. They have the best wishes of everyone for their happiness hap-piness and success. A pageant, "Building The M. Mr. and Mrs. Mac Hafen of Mt. Pleasant spent the past two weeks visiting here. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Allred left Monday for Salt Lake where Mrs. Allred underwent a goitre operation. opera-tion. She is improving slowly. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Meeks of Salt Lake visited this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ole A. All-red. All-red. A Republican rally was held here Monday evening. Senator Reed Smoot, Don B. Colton and W. W. Seegmiller were the principal princi-pal speakers. Other visitors were George P. Parker, Edsel Christen-sen, Christen-sen, A. N. Mellor, P. C. Peterson and Mr. Barker. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Williams announce the marriage of their daughter, Julia, to Dean Swain of Moroni on October 26th. Patriarch Orlando Bradley performed the ceremony at Moroni. Everyone extends ex-tends their best wishes. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Allred of Mt. Pleasant are visiting with hei parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles R Coombs. Mrs. Allred, assisted by her mother, entertained some of her friends at a dinner Tuesday Those present were Reva Allrecl of Ephraim, Katie Nelson of Freedom, Free-dom, Meredith Hafen of Mt. The Ladies Wool Growers auxiliary aux-iliary met Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs, Thomas H. Cook. A program and lunch were enjoyed. The lucky hunters who have returned home with their doer this week are: Lyman Seeley, Arthur Ar-thur G. Anderson, Claire Ivory.
