Show Pedestrians Blamed for Many Street Accidents Motor trucks though frequently involved in-volved in street accidents, actually caused only "6 per cent of those in which they figured, according to the report of accidents in Hartford, Conn., issued by the National Automobile Chamber of Commerce. It was found that of -in'.) accidents involving trucks during the first half of 1 027, no fewer than 1S1 were the fault of pedestrians or of the drivers of other types of vehicles. The figures obtained in the survey were compiled from the official records rec-ords in the office of Commissioner Itobhins B. Stoeckel of the Connecticut Connecti-cut department of motor vehicles. Accidents for which trucks were to blame were analyzed and remedies for them suggested, and are being dis trihuted to operators of truck fleets in nil parts of the country.
