Minutes of the previous meeting was j rea l and on motion of M. C. Peterson md seconded by E. W. Wall they were approved. : People living on 2nd. West entered a protest against the Continental Oil Co. moving their tanks off the railroad property to privately owned property at the Neibon corner. S. W. Pugslty of th" oil company argued that it would be better and safer to make an up-to-date plant. The request was I abled for consideration. ' Much discussion was entered into a-bout a-bout water in ditches and careless use of same in certain places becoming a nuisance. Dance licenses were referred to the committee on license. City Collector LeRoy Christensen reported re-ported that he had collected 9900,39 for light, and $1,023.49 for water. Night watchman made a report a-bout a-bout the slot machines, and it was decided de-cided to do away with them. Siren Will Sound at Noon The council decided to have the City Siren sounded each day at noon, 12 o'clock, o'-clock, beginning on the 15th. of February. Febru-ary. 1028. If it is noon it will not be a fire alarm. Dogs will be taxed as usual and H. L. Norman will be the collector. A number of bills were passed and an estimate on the repairs of the Public Pub-lic Library w-as made at about $300.00. The meeting was then adjourned. |
