Show Melba K. Armstrong Wins Atwater Kent Contest Mrs. Melba Kotter Armstrong of Ephraim has been awarded first place in state honors for women in the Atwater Kent radio contest. The victory brings to Mrs. Armstrong Arm-strong a trip to California, all expenses ex-penses paid. On the ,17th of this month she competed in San Francisco Fran-cisco against the other winners from the contests held in the various vari-ous western states. The winner from the coast contest will compete later in the national contest. Mrs. Armstrong's musical training train-ing has been received from Professor Profes-sor F. J. FJelstead auring the time she has been a student and a teacher at Snow. Her victory is a strong endorsement or her instructor's instruc-tor's power as a teacher. At the present time she is listed as one of his students. During the time that Mrs. Armstrong Arm-strong was studying and teaching at the college she participated m the college operas "Martha," and "Bohemian Girl" and numerous other musical activities. |
