Show j FOUNTAIN GREEN 1 By Special Correspondence Born to Mr. and Mrs. Farrel Hoi-man, Hoi-man, a boy, November 3rd. Miss Esther Hansen was hostess at a Halloween party Thursday evening. The Halloween idea was carried out in both decorations and games. Eighteen of her friends were present. Delicious refreshments were served. A most entertaining Halloween party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs C. R. Coombs for the Elite club and their husbands. Halloween decorations, decora-tions, favors, and place cards were used and a chicken supper was enjoyed en-joyed by all, after which games were played. A "real" Halloween witch was the special guest. Members of the Elite club attended a quilting at the home of Mrs. Ray Holman on Thursday. A pleasant evening was spent and lunch was served. Edna Guymon entertained eighteen of her friends at a Halloween party Thursday evening. Refreshments were served and the remainder of the evening was spent in playing games. Mrs. H. P. Olson left Sunday for Hot Springs, Arkansas, to take medical medi-cal treatment. She was accompanied by her two sons, Newell and Acel, and they expect to be gone about six weekj. The Junior girls of the Mutual gave a most successful dancing party on Halloween night at the Amusement Hall. The attendance was unusually large and everyone had a most enjoyable enjoy-able time. The decorations were exceptionally ex-ceptionally beautiful and everyone present felt amply repaid by going to view the results of the Junior girls many hours of work in putting up such an artistic display. The Social Hour club was entertained entertain-ed on Halloween day by Mrs. Hyrum Jacobson, assisted by Mrs. Zelda Holman. Hol-man. Those present were the Mes-lames Mes-lames Rena Crowther, Maggie Frand-sen, Frand-sen, Libby Hansen, Mary A. Mikkel-sen, Mikkel-sen, Tilda Sorenson, Lena Alired, Tilda Hansen, Thora Robertson, and Lottie Barenttson'. A chicken dinner was served. The. table was decorated appropriately for the day. Rozella Anderson entertained at a birthday dinner Saturday afternoon. Dinner was served to twenty guests. Games were played and radio music was enjoyed. Since the opening of the elk hunting hunt-ing season twenty men are missing from our city. We are hoping they will each come back with one of the animals. Two lady hunters, experts at shooting, are in the party. They are Mrs. Lyman Seely and Mrs. E. J. Johnson. We wish them luck. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Allred and children chil-dren cf Centerfield spent Sunday visiting at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Allred and Mrs. Lyda Guymon. Guy-mon. Saturday night a dance was given for the benefit of Ralph Cook who leaves soon for a mission to the Eastern East-ern States. The following night, a farewell party was given at the ward chapel, where a splendid program was rendered and a hundred and one dollars dol-lars was donated 'for his benefit. Elder Cook and Elder Mont Madsen ar.? now at the Mission Home at Salt Lake preparatory fo leaving for their missions mis-sions about November 15. |
