Sinnot will lie hoiKirt'd nt lii'i)linni Voting university on U(:i(l;i.v, October 17. in the 571 li Annual Founder-.' day exercises which will be held in College Hall at 10 a.m. "Pa" Smoot, as he was. affectionately affec-tionately called by faculty and students, was president of the Hoard of Trustees of Rriglinm Young Academy from its founding 1875 to his death in 1885. During that period Mr. Smoot sledged liis entire fortune in order to keep the institution alive. Since his death members of his ; family have rendered great service.
