Show h i SPRING CITY By Special Correspondence Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Saturday in the ward chapel for Pratt Venoy Osborne, 12 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Pratt Osborne, who died Wednesday after af-ter an operation for appendicitis Sunday at the Merrill hospital in Provo. The services were conducted by Reid H. Allred. The prayers were offered by Frank Hansen and Joseph G. Schofield. The speakers were Vivian Larsen, William Lee Allred, Reid H. Allred and Ernest Terry of Spring City and Reid Beck of Draper. Music was by the ward choir under the direction of Prnest Terry with a special duet by Mrs. Jessie B. Schofield and Mrs. Libbie A. Allred. Six of his playmates. Dean Allred, All-red, Delbert Pedersen,' Bud Benson, Ben-son, Bayrom Ericksen, Morns Terry and McKay Anderson, acted as pall bearers. Interment was in the city cemetery. Besides his parents he is sur vived by the following brothers and sisters: Marcell, Devon, The-one, The-one, Thelma and Kenneth; and two grandmothers, Mrs. Margaret Osborne and Mrs. Hulda Allred of Spring City. The people of Spring City extend ex-tend their sympathy to the bereaved be-reaved family. Those who came from out of town to attend the funeral included includ-ed Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Nunley of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jensen Jen-sen of Rochester, Mrs. DeLcs Oi-sen Oi-sen and Mr. and Mrs. Travis Ol-sen Ol-sen of Ferron, Mr. Reid Beck of Draper and Mr. Rae Beck of Sandy. Mrs. Vyroa Hansen is ill at her home and Mrs. Floy Madsen is teaching her class in school. Mrs. Emma Jensen underwent a throat operation in Salt Lake City Monday of last week. Lorin Brough returned home Monday from Salt Lake City where he had accompanied his brother, J. L. Brough, who went there for medical aid. Mrs. Kenneth Williams of Murray Mur-ray visited over the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Jchn T. Blain and other relatives. The Spring City people who attended at-tended conference in Salt Lake included in-cluded Bishop James F. Ellis, John S. Blain, William Petersen. James W. Blain, Mrs. Sarah Clausen, Clau-sen, Mrs. Diantha Allred, Miss Manett Allred, Mrs. Orson Allred, Mrs. Boyd Allred and Miss Vera Justesen. Mr. and Mrs. William Robinson have gone to Magna for a three weeks' visit with their daughter, Mrs. William Puzey. A farewell party was given in the Victory hall Wednesday evening even-ing honoring Raymond Allred who will leave here Friday for the Mission Mis-sion school in Salt Lake and from there he will go to the Southern states on a mission. A good program pro-gram was given, refreshments were served and dancing was enjoyed en-joyed to the music of the local orchestra. |
