Show Notice To Sheepmen The fact, that it seems there is SUU some question as to the true sheep growers in the Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant and Spring City section, re- E2J B Certain transaction made in this locality last fall by a party well known to the Growers and Bankers alike and claiming to and WUkins Sheep Commission Company, with authorization to vwl f raf on said Commission firm for the purchase price or any part thereof for payment on lambs, Merrion and Wilkins wish to say They did everything in theii power to prove to several parties interested, as well as two prominent prom-inent attorneys of Manti, Utah that this party, so representing himself, was not only doing so without authority but with advise from said Firm stating to him that they would not honor his drafts. This they can and would gladly prove to anyone desiring them to do so by calling in at either of their Denver or Ogden offices where they have on fli,-both fli,-both letters and telegrams, both carrying prior dates to the transaction trans-action made here by this party. The evidence was shown to several sever-al parties interested and Merrion and Wilkins feel other sheep men in this locality should be informed as to the true facts. Merrion and Wilkins Sheep Commission Company protected the proceeds of these shipments and saw to it that the remittances were made to the proper parties Rather than their being criticized or thought ill of by the growers of this locality, they deserve the thanks of every sheep grower and bank interested and the absolute confidence of others. Merrion and WUkins Sheet Commission Company have nevei authorized this lamb buyer in question to buy lambs on order for them or otherwise; neithe:-have neithe:-have they ever paid a draft for him either prior to last fall or since. This Commission Firm knew absolutely nothing of the transaction trans-action until the shipment arrived in Denver consigned from this party to them. Even at that time they did not know any drafts had been drawn and did not know this until they began to arrive some time after the shipment had been sold. The fault lies in the fact that no party interested made any inquiry in-quiry as to the authority of said buyer; neither did they protect themselves when the billing was given the R. R. Company. Out of fairness to Merrion and Wilkins Sheep Commission Company, Com-pany, they ask you to believe these statements, and at your convenience con-venience when on cither market mentioned call III their office and ask to see the proof. MERRION and WILKINS, By C. L. Reynolds, Order Buyer. |
