Show NOTICE To whom it may concern: For several months past it has from time to time been rumored that I offered to pay County Commissioner Com-missioner John Gunderson a pr.ce u he would obtain for me the County Infirmary Job. Without trying at this time to l-jcall everything that I may have s-aid in a frivolous and unthinking moment since I first applied for that job, I can say and do say mat I have never offered John Gunderson anything for that job cr for his service in getting me that job, and that John Gunderson ias never in substance or effect v sk me what I would give for the b or for his help in getting me the job, and that no consideration or compensation for said job o. ; for his help in getting me said job has ever in substance or effect been talked between us or between me and any other person representing repre-senting the said John Gunderso.i. Fairview, Utah, January 9, 1931 Since I ceased to be employed at the Sanpete County Infirmary some people have been very free and very loud in their guesses as to why I left. All sorts of accusations ac-cusations have been made again-sl me and in these the name of County Coun-ty Commissioner John Gunderson has frequently been associated. On his behalf I want to say that each and every statement whicn in substance or effect has said that I was paying, or had payed or at any time had promised or offered to pay 'John Gunderson anything, either In money or produce pro-duce for his help in giving me the County Infirmary Job, is a lie. . a AFTON . CHRISTENSEN. f .To the Citizens of Sanpete County: '' The fact that a change in the management of the Sanpete Conn ty Infirmary has unexpectedly been made, has for some reason given rise to a number of serious rumors, among which the accusation accus-ation has been made that I was leceiving or had received or expected ex-pected to receive something in money or produce from Afton Christensen for support I had given giv-en him or was giving him in obtaining ob-taining and holding the County Infirmary Job". All statements to this effect are wholly unfounded and untrue and I hereby deny them, each and every ev-ery one. JOHN GUNDERSON. |
