Show Masons Are Remodeling Main Street Building For Masonic Temple The Masonic Lodge of this city. Damascus No. 10, is remodeling the building occupied until recently recent-ly by the Merz Moument Company, Comp-any, and will convert the same into a Masonic Temple. The building was In the eatly history of the city the Old Liberal Party dance hall. At the time of the founding of the Wasatcn Academy by Dr. Duncan J. McMillan Mc-Millan of New York City, in 1875, tins building was rented by the minister, for the use of the Presbyterian Pres-byterian church. Later it was purchased by the church and used until the erection of the new chapel cha-pel in 1924. The building committee incluJes Ed. Johnston, E. W. WflU and W. K. Throndsen.
