Show 'BRYCE CANYON SCOUT 1 COUNCIL ORGANIZED Representatives from the various divison scout committees of Eastern and Southern Utah met at Richfield last Saturday, June 14th, and organized organi-zed the B-ryce Canyon District Coun. ell of the Boy Scouts of Amer.ca. The work of organization was under the direction or Mr. Charle3 N. Miller, Mil-ler, Regional Scout Executive, of Los' Angeles, California. This new council has jurisdiction over the scout work in the following ,-ountiej; Carbon, Sanpete, Sevier, Piute, Garfield, Grand, Wayne, San Juan and Emery. There have already al-ready been thirteen division committees com-mittees organized in this territory, and it is expected that many more will be developed in the near future. The following are the officers of the new Bryce Canyon Counci-President, Counci-President, Henry Beal; Vice Pres.-' dents, J. W. Jones of Gunnison, Tom Sevey of Panguitch, F. C. Hill of Mihiland, S. M. Neilsen of Mt. Pleasant; Pleas-ant; Secretary, Alfred J. Bird of Richfield; Treasurer, Geonge H. Og-den Og-den of Richfield; Executive, William, B. Hawkins, formerly of Logan. The North Sanpete Division Com. mittee, of which President S. M. Neilsen is chairman, will hold it3 next meeting at the Mt. Pleasant j Public Library, Tuesday evening, June 24th. j |
