In Its effort toward life saving and also to minimize the serious effects of automobile accidents, the Ked Cross has had designed a small "motor "mo-tor first aid" box which contains supplies sup-plies and appliances for use In ail emergencies Incident to motoring. Equipment for treating Injuries, from j a slight cut or burn to broken bones ! and arterial bleodlntr, Is contained In i the box; It Is of metal, marked with the official Ked Cross Insignia, Its size boing 10 by 0 baches, with a depth of Si Inches. Among the contents are two regular Red Cross first aid outfits out-fits and two first eld dressings; picric acid gauze for burns, finger dressings, absorbent cotton, gauze bandages, iodine, io-dine, olive oil, ammonia, boric acid ointment, tweezers, scissors, a tourniquet, tourni-quet, wire splints, paper cups, safety pins nnd adhesive plaster. With the box Is a Red Cross first aid text book w ith Instructions regarding regard-ing the quick handling of Injuries. The boxes are small replicas of the official Red Cross first aid boxes which are in use by city police departments and in disaster relief emergencies. They can be obtained from the Red Cross supply department. |
