The farm "bloecors" have found that the new president is a hard-headed politician poli-tician an.l executive. Mr. Coolidge is as much interested as anyone else in giving relief to the farmers. It should always be remembered that he stormed directly from the hay fields of his father's farm into the White House. But Mr. Coolidge has said in effect, to the members of the farm j bloc in bo.h the senate and house: "Bring me a concrete plan for tne I rciief of the farmers and I will call nn extra session of congress. Until we have a plan, why bother with congress con-gress :" This is the president's answer to the insis.ent and clamorous demands that come to him from many directions direc-tions urging that congress be called into extraordinary session to pass some sort of remedial legislation.
