Show The Woman's Missionary society met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. R. Andersen at which time the annual election of officers was held. The new officers are Mrs. T. M. Keusseff, president, Mrs. R. B. Norton, vice president, Mrs. G. W. Brand, secretary, and Miss Eleanor Draper, treasurer. The Rev. Dr. W. P. McClure of Los Angeles was present pres-ent and addressed the society on "Loyalty as Illustrated in the Life of Ida Lewis." Luncheon was served to twenty-three members and guests. The Home Culture club was entertained en-tertained by Mrs. Andrew Knudsen and Mrs. O. F. Wall Wednesday afternoon aft-ernoon at the Knudsen home. An excellent ex-cellent paper on "Patriotism" was presented by Mrs. H. F. Wall and : Miss Margaret Thurman read an in-1 in-1 teresting letter from Newton Clem-. Clem-. ensen, now with the Utah Artillery at i Camp Kearny, dipicting army life. "The Star Spangled Banner" was ' sung by the club before adjournment. A dainty luncheon was served to I about sixteen members. Mrs. Linden Larsen was a special guest of the club. . |
