Show TWO KILLED, THREE HURT. Electric Car Drags Automobile Along Tracks and Mangles Occupants. Ogden, Utah. Joseph Folkman, 50 years of age, and his son, Lee Folk-man, Folk-man, 25 years of age, were instantly killed ; Josie Folkman, 15 years of age, a daughter, was prooably fatally injured, in-jured, and Gwendolyn Stewart, 12 years of age, and Viola Knight, 15 years of age were seriously injured, when a Utah-Idaho Central electric interurban car crashed into the Folk-man Folk-man automobile at the Harrisville road crossing, five miles north of here, at 4 :55 o'clock Saturday afternoon. The accident was one of the most frightful recorded in the annals of road-crossing accidents in this county in a number of months. .The automobile automo-bile in which the killed and injured were riding was dragged along the track for a distance of 250 feet before the electric car could be stopped. When the car was halted it was found necessary neces-sary to remove the pilot before it could resume Its trip to the city. As a result of the collision, the senior sen-ior Folkman was decapitated and disemboweled, dis-emboweled, and Lee Folkman's head was crushed beyond all recognition, with the flesh and skin being torn from the face. Josie Folkman sustained sus-tained a fractured skull, broken legs and body injuries. It is said she cannot can-not live. Gwendolyn Stewart was hurt about the head and body. Viola Knight was injured about the legs. |
